Strawberry picking
Happy Sunday y'all! So today we all slept in, then got up and went to breakfast together as a family. Then I decided to take all the kids to the park and to strawberry picking. We've never been strawberry picking before and it was something that I thought would be a really cool experience with the kiddos. And I was right. We went out to a farm where we we were able to pick strawberries, then they had a store with fresh veggies and fruit and then a play area for the kids which is where I am sitting now feeding our youngest and watching our other two climb a dirt pile. It's 2:30 in the afternoon and this is about time that the kids would be napping usually at home. I would have them nap and take this time to either relax or do something for myself or get something done at the house, but instead we are still out which means that they will probably fall asleep for their afternoon nap in the car. But you know what, that's okay. Because this right here right now being in this present moment, I get to experience God. Kids are having a blast. I experience the joy of a beautiful sunny day and picking and eating fresh strawberries. I get to see others around me. And I get to see the beauty in it all. And then I will have a sweet car ride home, listening to a podcast and spending a few minutes for myself. So do I want to be at home relaxing and doing something for myself or getting something done that I think absolutely has to get done today? Or do I want to be out doing, like really doing, really experiencing and finding God in the most interesting places. Where are you finding God today?
