Faith
Faith: a strong, often unshakable belief, trust, or confidence, typically held without requiring logical proof or physical evidence.
Faith without works is dead. We hear it from our book, we heard it in today's sermon at Grace church. We are supposed to build ourselves up in faith, but what exactly does that mean and how do we do it? Just like what our books says, we get up and do! Take the action, whether we want to or not. In the sermon today, our pastor said we must contend for our faith. we must battle for our faith....which really is not what any of us want to do right? Because we want it to be fun, easy, and all about us (our way or no way).
So then what happens when its not any of those things (because if we are doing things right, then most likely it won't be)? We still just DO. Take the action, change our attitude, change our perspective, get in the Word (whatever that Word looks like to you), help others, reach out, take care of ourselves). No matter what right? We have the faith that there is a bigger plan to all of our little frustrations and our larger life challenges. There is a reason for it all. So today, I will be happy for those going through good things, try to take care of those going through hard things, and try to change my perspective on whatever "thing" I am going through at the moment. Because more than likely its exactly what is supposed to be happening. I just have to have the faith in the unseen vs. the seen. God saw fit to remind me of this daily as our only daughter is named Faith, a name that came to my husband and I many years ago from I'm sure the one and only "G.O.D." himself.
