Happily ever gardening

She's a beaut, Clark, just a beaut!

Despite the heat, my husband (not named Clark...if you know the quote, you know haha) really rocked it out with our little garden. We've enjoyed lettuce, cucumbers, squash and zucchini and are still waiting on some tomatoes to come in. Now if we had to survive an apocalypse just eating our veggies, we probably wouldn't make it, but it is a nice notion. I know we would love a green house one day but I suppose we will keep dreaming on that and make that one of our goals. We have done a garden for a few years now, some years it went well and others it was a total flop. But it's a cool hobby to have and fairly inexpensive. Plus if we can save a few bucks at the grocery store on some veggies, I'll take it. We also have a lovely blueberry bush out front, however we can't take credit for that because it was here when we moved here, but we do get to reap the benefits from it (chef's kiss, delicious!). It also has been a fun, learning activity with the kiddos, watering, taking care of, and picking the blueberries or vegetables when they are ready. So thank you Mother Earth for a good harvest! Or a good one for us as least (haha). Does anyone else have a gardening hobby?
